As a Dietary Manager at JAG Healthcare, you’ll lead the dietary department in providing nutritious, delicious meals while creating a positive dining experience for every resident. You’ll oversee daily kitchen operations, support and develop your team, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and work closely with the interdisciplinary team to meet each resident’s dietary needs.

From menu planning and meal service to staffing and regulatory compliance, you’ll play an important role in promoting resident health, comfort, and quality of life.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Lead the Dietary Team

Supervise, mentor, and support dietary staff while promoting teamwork, accountability, and exceptional resident service.

Oversee Daily Kitchen Operations

Coordinate meal preparation, food service, staffing, scheduling, and daily department operations to ensure meals are served safely, efficiently, and on time.

Ensure Food Safety & Compliance

Maintain compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and local, state, and federal requirements.

Manage Inventory & Ordering

Monitor food and supply inventory, place orders, control costs, and help minimize waste while maintaining quality standards

Maintain Documentation

Complete required records, sanitation logs, temperature logs, production records, staffing documentation, and other required reports

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred but not required
  • ServSafe Level 2 Managers Certificate preferred but not required
  • Previous dietary, food service, or kitchen leadership experience required
  • Previous long-term care or healthcare food service experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and therapeutic diets
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, dependable, and resident-focused attitude
