About This Position

JAG Healthcare Shelby is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team as a Full-Time Shower Aide on our 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM shift.

As a Shower Aide, you'll play an important role in helping our residents feel comfortable, cared for, and confident by providing bathing, hygiene, grooming, and personal care assistance. This position is ideal for a CNA who enjoys spending one-on-one time with residents and understands the importance of maintaining dignity, privacy, and respect during personal care.

JAG Healthcare Shelby is a welcoming 45-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility known for its family-oriented atmosphere and commitment to individualized care. Our residents include individuals receiving traditional skilled nursing and rehabilitation services, as well as those living with memory care diagnoses and mild behavioral health needs.

Our smaller environment allows our CNAs to truly get to know the residents they care for and become an important part of their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with showers, bathing, grooming, hygiene, and other personal care needs
• Follow individualized resident care plans and established bathing schedules
• Maintain resident dignity, privacy, comfort, and safety throughout personal care
• Assist residents with dressing and undressing as needed
• Provide safe transfers and mobility assistance using appropriate techniques and equipment
• Observe residents' skin condition during bathing and personal care
• Promptly report redness, bruising, wounds, skin breakdown, discomfort, or other concerns to the nursing team
• Observe and report changes in resident condition, behavior, or mobility
• Accurately and promptly document care provided
• Prepare bathing areas and necessary supplies prior to resident care
• Clean and sanitize bathing areas and equipment after use
• Follow infection prevention and safety practices
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked bathing areas
• Communicate effectively with nurses, CNAs, and other members of the care team
• Assist with additional CNA duties as needed based on resident and facility needs

Who We're Looking For

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) status in the State of Ohio in good standing
• Previous skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred, but not required
• Compassionate and respectful approach to resident care
• Comfortable assisting with bathing, hygiene, dressing, and personal care
• Ability to safely assist with transfers and mobility
• Strong observation skills and attention to changes in resident skin or condition
• Dependable and able to maintain an established resident bathing schedule
• Good communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
• Commitment to resident dignity, privacy, safety, and person-centered care

About This Position

JAG Healthcare Shelby is seeking an organized, compassionate, and team-focused Nurse Manager to join our nursing leadership team.

The Nurse Manager helps support quality resident care, effective teamwork, and daily nursing operations while providing guidance and support to nursing staff throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily nursing operations and coordinate resident care
• Provide guidance and support to nursing staff
• Monitor changes in residents' needs and communicate with providers, families, and the care team
• Support accurate documentation and compliance with facility policies
• Assist with staff education and clinical support
• Support infection prevention and quality improvement efforts
• Collaborate with facility leadership and the interdisciplinary care team
