ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Registered Dietitian at JAG Healthcare, you’ll use your clinical expertise to help residents achieve the best possible health and quality of life through individualized nutrition care. You’ll assess residents’ nutritional needs, develop personalized care plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support recovery, wellness, and overall health.

Working closely with physicians, nursing staff, dietary services, therapy, residents, and families, you’ll ensure nutritional interventions meet each resident’s medical needs while promoting dignity, comfort, and enjoyment at mealtime.

Every recommendation you make has the potential to improve healing, prevent complications, and enhance a resident’s daily life.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Assess Nutritional Needs

Complete comprehensive nutritional assessments to evaluate each resident’s dietary needs, medical conditions, weight trends, and nutritional risks.

Develop Nutrition Care Plans

Create individualized nutrition plans that support physician orders, therapeutic diets, and each resident’s unique health goals.

Collaborate with the Care Team

Work closely with physicians, nursing, therapy, social services, dietary staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate resident-centered care.

Monitor Resident Progress

Evaluate residents’ nutritional status, monitor changes in condition, and adjust nutrition interventions as needed.

Promote Quality & Compliance

Support regulatory compliance, quality improvement initiatives, and best practices related to nutrition services and resident care.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Qualifications

  • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential required
  • Current state licensure or certification, if required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field
  • Previous experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or clinical nutrition preferred
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets and medical nutrition therapy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and documentation abilities
  • Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
