As the Director of Nursing (DON) at JAG Healthcare, you’ll provide leadership, guidance, and clinical oversight to the nursing department while helping ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.
You’ll work closely with the Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, nursing leadership, physicians, department managers, residents, and families to support strong clinical outcomes and a positive resident experience. From mentoring nursing staff and strengthening care practices to overseeing compliance and quality improvement, your leadership will help shape the culture of the entire facility.

Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio
- Previous nursing leadership experience required
- Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, unit management, or comparable supervisory experience preferred
- 5 years of experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or a related healthcare setting strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of clinical nursing practices, resident care, documentation, and regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop nursing teams
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining calm and professional
- Experience with quality improvement, survey preparation, and clinical performance monitoring preferred
- Compassionate, accountable, and resident-centered leadership style

The DON’s primary responsibility is nursing leadership and clinical oversight. However, the Director of Nursing must remain familiar with residents’ needs and may provide clinical support or direct assistance when necessary.
