More Than Transportation – A Trusted Member of the Care Team

As a Medical Transport Driver at JAG Healthcare, you’ll play an important role in helping residents safely travel to medical appointments, therapy sessions, dialysis treatments, hospital visits, and other approved destinations. Every trip is an opportunity to provide reassurance, compassion, and exceptional customer service while representing JAG Healthcare throughout the community.

Depending on the facility, this position may also include Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) responsibilities. When transportation services are not needed, you may assist residents with daily care, answer call lights, and support the nursing team in providing high-quality, person-centered care.

Whether you’re behind the wheel or lending a helping hand inside the facility, you’ll make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents every day.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Safely Transport Residents

Transport residents to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, dialysis treatments, hospital visits, community outings, and other approved destinations while ensuring every trip is safe, comfortable, and on schedule.

Assist Residents

Help residents safely enter and exit the vehicle while using wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility equipment as needed.

Maintain Transportation Vehicles

Perform routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance concerns, and help keep vehicles clean, organized, and ready for daily use.

Communicate Effectively

Coordinate schedules with nursing staff, appointment coordinators, healthcare providers, and residents to ensure smooth transportation services.

Maintain Documentation

Complete transportation logs, mileage records, inspection forms, and other required documentation accurately and on time.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Qualifications

  • Valid Ohio driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to safely operate wheelchair-accessible transportation vehicles
  • Current Ohio CNA certification may be required depending on the facility
  • CPR certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
  • Previous healthcare, transportation, or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dependable, organized, and adaptable
  • Ability to safely assist residents with mobility needs
  • Professional, compassionate, and resident-focused attitude
