Helping Residents Maintain Strength, Independence, and Confidence.
As a Restorative Therapy Aide at JAG Healthcare, you’ll help residents maintain or improve the strength, mobility, and independence they’ve worked hard to achieve. Working under the direction of licensed nursing staff and therapy professionals, you’ll guide residents through individualized restorative programs designed to promote function, confidence, and quality of life.
Whether you’re assisting with walking programs, range of motion exercises, transfers, or daily activities, your encouragement and support will help residents remain as independent as possible while celebrating every milestone along the way.

Qualifications
- Current Ohio CNA certification required (if applicable to facility)
- Previous long-term care, rehabilitation, restorative nursing, or healthcare experience preferred
- CPR certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to safely assist residents with mobility and transfers
- Compassionate, patient, and encouraging attitude
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team

No. Licensed therapists evaluate residents, develop treatment plans, and provide skilled therapy services. Restorative Therapy staff carry out individualized restorative programs designed to maintain residents’ progress after therapy or support ongoing functional abilities under the direction of the care team.
Absolutely. You’ll spend much of your day working one-on-one or in small groups with residents while encouraging participation and helping them safely complete restorative activities.
Yes, depending on the facility. Some JAG Healthcare locations care for residents living with dementia, memory loss, behavioral health needs, or cognitive impairments. Occupational therapy interventions are individualized to each resident’s cognitive abilities, functional goals, and care plan while promoting safety, independence, and quality of life.
Yes. Restorative Therapy staff collaborate closely with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to support each resident’s care plan.
Yes. Accurate documentation helps monitor resident progress, supports continuity of care, and ensures compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
Schedules vary by facility and current staffing needs. Depending on the opening, full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities may be available.
